Services

Initial Consultation (15 minutes)

If you are pursuing therapy through Soft Edges Therapy your initial 15 minute consultation is free of charge.

An initial consultation is for those pursuing therapy services and would like to ask questions and get a feel for the offerings available. Questions can be asked about scheduling, fees, treatment, and/or referrals. If you decide you want to continue with us, you will be presented with a variety of options to continue your therapy journey.

Soft Edges Therapy is a practice grounded in the principles of justice, equity, and inclusion.

Individual Therapy
(45-55 minutes)

Individual therapy consists of one-on-one sessions between you and your therapist.

Individual therapy is one-on-one sessions for you and your therapist to work together at a personalized pace. Sessions are typically offered weekly or biweekly with the intentions ranging from identifying mental health conditions, processing through life challenges, learning coping skills or leaning into self discovery.

Working with Diadra individually can help you to cultivate a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space where you can have undivided attention to address your needs. Diadra sees clients ages 12 and up.

Whether using evidence based practices or non-traditional methods, the approach will always be person-centered.

Specializations for individual therapy include (but are not limited to)

  1. LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC affirming services
  2. Neurodivergent affirming services
  3. Late-diagnosed AuDHD
  4. Using stickers for motivational purposes
  5. Specific and complex traumas

I have ample experience in the following modalities

  • DBT (Dialectical behavioral therapy)
  • ERP (Exposure response prevention)
  • ACT (Acceptance commitment therapy)
  • CBT (Cognitive behavioral therapy)
  • Narrative therapy
  • Trauma informed care
  • Psychodynamic therapy
  • TB-CBT (Trauma based cognitive behavioral therapy)
  • RO-DBT (Radically open dialectical behavioral therapy)

Individual Coaching
(50-90 minutes)

Individual coaching consists of one-on-one sessions between you and your coach.

Individual coaching services help with goal setting, skill building, and action planning. This service is meant as either a supplement or an alternative to traditional therapy.

Please note: coaching is not meant to be used as a substitute for therapy. If you are seeking treatment for mental health or primarily emotional-based challenges, we recommend seeking individual therapy sessions.

This service, unlike therapy services, is available for clients nationwide. Coaching is only available virtually.

Consider coaching services if

  1. You would like to focus on identifying, planning, and executing actionable steps towards your goals.
  2. You’re looking for an accountability partner for personal development.
  3. You would like support finding resources to address specific problems getting in the way of life goals.

Specialities for coaching include

  • Interpersonal coaching
  • OCD/Anxiety coaching
  • Executive functioning coaching

Group Therapy
(60 – 120 minutes)

Group therapy consists of therapy sessions between one therapist and a group.

Group therapy involves more than one individual being in space with your therapist. Group sessions can be beneficial if you are looking to gain community, insight, growth, and perspective building with others. While groups do not offer the same level of individual attention, the intention of groups is to put healing into practice and reduce isolation.

Starting October 2025 the following groups are available

  1. BIPOC NeuroDynamic (Recruiting for October 2025)
  2. NeuroSpect (Recruiting for October 2025)

I have ample experience in the following modalities

  • Gaming therapy (Dungeons and Dragons FTW)
  • DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy)
  • ERP (Exposure Response Prevention)
  • Process Groups

Family Therapy
(55 – 85 minutes)

Family therapy consists of therapy sessions between one therapist and a family unit.

Family therapy is sessions with your loved ones and a therapist to work on a common goal. Whether the focus is on working though difficult life transitions, changes in family dynamics, improving communication or learning skills, family therapy can be beneficial

Disclaimer: While not required, family therapy is often recommended in tandem with individual therapy with separate providers for the highest likelihood of satisfactory results.

Sliding Scale

Our team at Soft Edges Therapy believes in making therapeutic services more accessible to those who need them and we accept clients on a sliding scale/reduced rate on a case by case basis.

If you believe you may need consideration for a reduced fee due to current or recent financial hardships, we are happy to try to accommodate. Please note: Reduced session fees will be revisited on a quarterly basis.

If we are not able to accommodate your needs, no worries! We are happy to provide you with resources or referrals. It is valuable to us to make attempts at connecting you with the right treatment even if we are not the best fit. 🙂

Insurance + Super Bills

Currently, we are not contracted with any insurance companies.

We are contracted with Lyra Health EAP.

We also are happy to provide super bills for possible insurance reimbursement. See information on Super bills below.

A Superbill is a detailed receipt of therapy sessions that you can request from a therapist who is out-of-network with your insurance company.

  • What information should be included on my superbill?
    • Your basic information: Name, Address, Date of Birth, Contact Phone and/or email, and insurance information provided from client portal
    • Therapist Information: Name (Individual/Business), license number, practice details
    • Clinical Diagnosis: Required for insurance reimbursement processing
    • Service Codes: Describes the type of therapy service provided
    • Session Details: Date(s) of service, session duration time, and cost of each session.
  • How does it work?
    • Recommended steps if you want to pursue reimbursement:
      • Call Insurance company and inquire about the following:
      • What are your out-of-network benefits? Does your plan include mental health services?
      • Do you need to meet a deductible before receiving benefits? Is there a limited number of reimbursable sessions?
      • What is the superbill submission process? What information is required for approval?
  • Receive approval or denial for partial reimbursement based on your benefits.
  • Request a super bill after your session from your therapist.
  • Then, submit super bills to insurance through a previously established process.
